JOHN NATSOULAS
For the past two decades, John Natsoulas has pursued his vision of making fine art accessible in a friendly setting. His dedication to art history, art education, and the exhibition of California art has translated into the John Natsoulas Gallery. The gallery maintains a strong relationship to the University of California, Davis’ Art Department. One of the major roles of the John Natsoulas Gallery is to provide a place for cultural meetings, conferences, and public activities, which create a community dialogue through a variety of visual, literary and musical events.
THE DAVIS DIRT
The Davis Dirt is a new monthly arts and events calendar for the City of Davis. The Davis Dirt is free and available in about 50 businesses around town, as well as online. It was founded by four local women who noticed the lack of a single, comprehensive resource listing the daily options for in-town entertainment. The Dirt lists select local events for free on the monthly calendar. Venues and event details are listed also, so you can search for fun either by date or by your favorite Davis locations. The mission of The Dirt is to publicize the abundance of cultural offerings available to Davis residents and visitors, and to promote community interaction and participation.
LIBBY MILLER and ANNE MECKSTROTH are co-founders of the Davis Dirt.
